On the 11th of January, dance teacher Juliana Braga will start a new program for kids! Every Wednesday afternoon all children between 7 and 10 years old can join Clubinho do Samba. The program features one hour of Capoeira given by mestre Samara and a one hour dance class given by Juliana.
Juliana is from Brazil and she has taught dancing to kids and adults for many years. She has worked with organizations such as CliniClowns and Roots Festival, and she teaches dancing in schools all over the country. By teaching Brazilian dances like samba, frevo and ciranda, Juliana will work on rhythm and co-ordination with the children in a playful way. The kids will also learn to express themselves musically, and they improve their posture by dancing.
The block runs for seven weeks and includes a special kids party and performance at the end of the course block.
