Juliana Braga is a dance teacher from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. At the age of 11 she began her dance studies in modern and contemporary dance techniques which were soon followed by specializations in folkloric, popular, and salon's dance. At 15, she began her career as a professional dance teacher. Since many years now, she is working on a fusion between dance techniques and body awareness, using rhythms and dances from traditional Brazilian roots.
She represents an important role in the difusion of Brazilian culture all over the Netherlands and Brazil. She is registered in Brazil in the Artistas Union as a teacher and ballerina. She established herself in The Netherlands in 1989, recognized by the Dutch Ministry of Culture as an educating artist, and has since then been spreading Brazilian culture throughout The Netherlands, participating in important projects and multicultural festivals throughout Europe and Brazil.
